A few weeks ago it was reported that Harrison Ford would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as General ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, replacing the late William Hurt, in ‘Thunderbolts’. This was denied by Disney and the news went quiet.

Now it appears that the wrong question had been asked of the studio allowing them deniability. According to Jeff Sneider on his Youtube show ‘The Hot Mic’, which he co-hosts with John Rocha, Ford has signed on to appear as Ross for the first time in ‘Captain America: New World Order’ which has a release date of 3rd May 2024.

Ford’s appearance in the fourth ‘Captain America’ will most likely lead to him playing a central role in ‘Thunderbolts’, which is due for release a few months later on 26th July 2024, as the comic book version of the team takes it’s name from Ross’s nickname.

Neither Disney or Marvel have commented on the casting news.
