Disney+ has released the teaser for ‘American Born Chinese’.
The series is based on Gene Luen Yang’s acclaimed 2006 graphic novel. Jin Wang is an average teenager juggling his high-school social life with his immigrant home life. When he meets a new foreign student on the first day of the school year, even more worlds collide as Jin is unwittingly entangled in a battle of Chinese mythological gods. The action-comedy explores issues of identity, culture, and family.
Starring Academy Award winners Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan alongside their ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once‘ Academy Award nominated co-star Stephanie Hsu.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (‘Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings‘),’American Born Chinese’ begins on 24th May.
