Now that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is out, the X-Men casting news is beginning to role out.
Ready Or Not star Samara Weaving in play mutant Emma Frost in the film which is due for release in 2028. After meeting a number of actresses, it is being reported that director Jake Schreier and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige picked Weaving earlier this week.
Weaving will be the second member of her family to play a villain in the MCU, her uncle Hugo played the Red Skull in Captain America: The First Avenger.
The character is a telepathic Mutant who first showed up in X-Men comics in the 1980s and has evolved over the years, going from supervillain to a key team member of the X-Men.
Emma Frost was previously played by January Jones in X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
